Marlon Blanco, President
In 2009 Marlon Blanco joined ServiceMaster South Shore as Managing Partner and immediately assumed the day-to-day operations and future growth development of the company. He brought a strong background in sales, promotion and fundraising with him from his earlier career at Goodwill Industries in Connecticut as well as management expertise from his time as District Manager for a Construction company.
From 2003 – 2009 Marlon worked for ServiceMaster Clean in their corporate offices, working with independent business owners to develop succession plans, financial analysis reports, marketing plans and providing guidance in operations. He acted as a liaison between the ServiceMaster Clean franchises and national insurance programs, such as State Farm, Zurich, Farmers and Travelers, as well as risk management companies throughout the northeast.
In January of 2020, Marlon bought the business and became President of ServiceMaster South Shore with two offices serving all of Eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.
Marlon currently holds a IICRC Triple Master Certification which includes Master Water Restorer, Master Fire and Smoke Restorer and Master Textile Cleaner. This Triple Master designation is the highest certification available in the restoration/remediation industry.
Marlon and his wife, Heather reside in Marshfield with their four children (Hannah -16, Oliva – 15, Sofia -12 and Noah 10) He is heavily involved in the Marshfield community, serving as the Vice President of the Marshfield Youth Softball program, and coaching, football, basketball and softball. In addition, Marlon serves on multiple advisory boards within the restoration/remediation industry and enjoys giving back to local charities.
Russ White joined ServiceMaster South Shore in 1989 and has built his career in restoration with ServiceMaster. With 31 years of experience, Russ brings a wealth of knowledge to customers and to the teams he guides onsite. He started as a crew member, moved up to Crew Chief and then began managing projects. He is currently ServiceMaster’s Senior Project Manager.
Russ is certified in Water Remediation, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odor Control and Applied Microbial Remediation.
He and his family live in Plymouth and he enjoys camping, bicycling and gym workouts.
Nick White (pictured left) was recently promoted to Project Manager at ServiceMaster South Shore however you can truly say he grew up in the restoration industry as Nick is the son of Russ White, ServiceMaster’s Senior Project Manager (pictured right.) Nick brings great energy to the Project Manager role and is always ready to share what he learned over the years as a technician with the crews he works with onsite.
Nick is IICRC certified in Water Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Soot Restoration and Odor Control.
Nick grew up in Plymouth and over the past summer, when other activities were curbed, he found a new love – the sport of golf.
Carla Greco has been with ServiceMaster South Shore in Sales and Marketing for the past nine years. In this role, she has utilized her experience as a business owner and built on her 30-year career in the Auto Glass Claims industry.
Carla is dedicated to helping agents and their customers when they are in need of restoration; whether it be a pipe break, sewer loss, fire damage or vacation home cleaning, Carla is a great resource in a time of emergency.
Carla grew up in Wakefield, Massachusetts and enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, boating, traveling and cooking.
As the Branch Manager of the Sandwich office, Alan Deane manages the Cape and Islands remediation jobs as well as Large losses across the South Shore. He has been in the restoration industry for 16 years and with ServiceMaster South Shore for the last six years. In addition to working with commercial and residential clients, Alan oversees the Cape crews, vehicles, office and equipment. He also assists with computer software and hardware for both offices.
Alan is IICRC certified in Water Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Soot Restoration and Odor Control in addition to holding ServiceMaster’s Large Losses certification.
Alan and his family live in Wareham. He enjoys coaching his daughter’s softball teams, playing softball on a men’s team and volunteering with the Town Board for girls’ softball. In addition to serving his community through youth sports, Alan has been a fire fighter for 20 years.
As the Branch Manager of the Scituate office, Jeff Cotter manages the flow of production, vehicles, equipment, resources and customer relations from the Cape Canal to Boston. Jeff has been with ServiceMaster South Shore for five years. He is committed to helping customers get through the difficultly of facing a property loss, whether it is from water damage, ice dams, fire, soot, hoarding or mold. Jeff has seen it all and is able to provide first hand knowledge to help customers solve the remediation problem they are facing.
Jeff is IICRC certified and is also certified in OSHA Hazardous Materials, Carpet and Upholstery, Health and Safety and Trauma and Crime Scene clean up.
Jeff grew up in Plymouth and spent the first 10 years of his career in the military. As a US Navy Veteran, Jeff is one of several former servicepersons that are part of the ServiceMaster team. During his off hours, Jeff enjoys poker, juggling, Legos and improv.
Joanna Sayce joined ServiceMaster South Shore in 2019 as a Sales and Marketing Representative. She went to school at Massasoit Community College and grew up in Plymouth.
Joanna began working in sales and marketing over 20 years ago as an independent sales and marketing consultant, with several of those years spent in the heating oil industry. She is now immersing herself in restoration and remediation and is enjoying making new contacts and developing business relationships.
She enjoys beach combing, traveling, camping and fishing. She makes time to support charitable organizations and help them with fundraising whenever she can. Joanna is a firm believer in the power of networking in both her personal and professional life.
John Thimas joined ServiceMaster South Shore in March 2017 as a Crew Chief and quickly moved up to Project Manager in 2018. He grew up in Plymouth and spent 9 years in the restoration business prior to joining ServiceMaster.
John is IICRC certified in Water Damage, Fire and Smoke Restoration and Odor Control. No matter what your emergency restoration need is, John is prepared to walk you through what needs to be done to get your home or business up and running again.
When he is not at work, John enjoys playing chess, golfing and hiking with his wife and dog. He also enjoys watching the Patriots play football.
Sue Dorey joined ServiceMaster South Shore in 2017 as a Project Manager and in 2018 she transitioned to Sales and Marketing. Sue works with local governments, school systems, and commercial companies to assist them with their specific restoration needs including pre-loss planning. Sue is currently the Commercial Sales Manager.
Sue has been in the restoration industry since 2009, previously a Project Manager in Orange County, California with ServiceMaster where she was a Fire Loss, Large Loss, Contents and Art Collection Restoration Supervisor. Sue is IICRC certified in Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odor Control, and Hoarding and Estate Cleaning.
Sue graduated from Cape Cod Community College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, photography, lakeside activities and home remodeling.
